Our Client is one of the leading suppliers for production of automotive seats worldwide. The company designs and manufactures seats and interior parts for automobiles and light commercial vehicles. In addition the company also designs and manufactures automotive fabrics and seat structures. The company makes production for renowned local and international Tier 1 OEMs.

The role
The role
As Senior Experienced Process/Methods Engineer, you will be responsible for the process, operation and working cycle design implementation in collaboration with Central and Plants Engineering and Quality Teams.
Specifically as part of the Industrial & Operations Excellence international team, you will be in charge of improving manufacturing efficiency, standards and robustness through the implementation of competitive solutions, working closely with the plant teams (5 plants today) as well as with the Designers and Engineering Central Teams and Key Suppliers.
The successful candidate will be able to define the world class standards for working cycles, BOM, industrial processes and knowledge, in order to optimize efficiency, quality, reduce cost, improve productivity and apply a continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
• Develop, configure and optimize with the engineering teams working cycles, BOM, industrial processes from inception through trials, certification - validation, start up and the production on going
• Assess operations, take measurements, analyze data and find the most reliable and competitive solutions to upgrade systems, processes and working cycles
• Consolidate standards, develop best practices and innovative solutions to improve safety, productivity rates, quality and service output
• Provide process documentation and operating instructions
• Manage cost and time targets and constraints
• Perform risk assessments in line with the Company Policies and the legislation
• Perform process simulations ( a lot of Manual assembly activities – Projects for Automation as well)
As Methods expert,
• Ensure working cycle and production process readiness prior to the Full Production Day and Start of Production (SOP), in accordance with the program defined by the Management, providing also routing and instructions about the working cycle operations (Man & Machine systems )
• Contribute to develop and carry out either the product and process FMEA, design review, trials and the feasibility studies
• Contribute to finalize and manage the Action Plans aimed to define production means (Jigs, Tooling, Machines, etc. with the Engineers Team involved)
• First point of contact to support Operations, Procurement and Project Management
Your profile
Professional Profile
• Excellent technical skills including the capacity to read technical drawings• Knowledge of process related standards, methodologies and logics such as: Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen and/or World Class Manufacturing, FMEA, SME, etc.
• Experience in process simulations (including Flow Charts, CAD or AUTO CAD, etc.) and in Quality Management System
• Working knowledge of process engineering software packages
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations
Soft skills
Flexible, Autonomous but at ease with matrix organization, adaptable, Strong communicator, ability to work under deadlines, Strong problem solving skills, Analytical thinker with good interpersonal skills able to work across different cultures
Educational background
BS in Mechanical Engineering required or other advanced technical degree
Lean Manufacturing Certification or SMT processes Certified
